As someone who travels often and has tried Indian cuisine all over the U.S., I can honestly say Nawab is the best I’ve had. It even surpassed my longtime favorite spot in New York City. The food was incredibly fresh, high quality, and packed with unique, authentic flavors. Every dish was absolutely delicious. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular without a doubt. On top of the amazing food, the owner was genuinely humble, welcoming, and kind, which made the experience even better. If you’re considering eating here, do yourself a favor—don’t hesitate. I've always been impressed by the quality and selection of the food at Nawab Indian Cuisine. Everything usually tastes freshly made with rich recipes. Whether you're vegan or have no dietary restrictions, their menu has you covered. Their chana masala and dal tadka are excellent vegan dishes, they have a good selection of vegetarian entrées, and I was impressed by the number of different kinds of meat they have on the menu. They have dishes with lamb, chicken, fish, shrimp, crab, and even goat. At my most recent visit, I was able to get a meal with most of these for a reasonable price. Food: 4/5 The lamb pepper appetizer was tasty, although I wished they would have cooked the onions a little more. The "pepper" refers to green bell pepper rather than the spice. Also the lamb was seasoned well and was fairly tender, although not the most tender it could have been. (4/5) The seafood special soup had a generous amount of crab meat and shrimp pieces, although there wasn't too much fish. Also the broth was quite thin and was primarily seasoned with cilantro. Excellent! The husband and I went for our anniversary since our regular Indian spot was closed. We were not disappointed! Garlic naan was so good. Husbands ordered chicken coconut and I ordered chicken vindaloo. No regrets!

Had lunch a Nawab in Winston- Salem. Although it is located in downtown Winston-Salem it was very easy to get to and had many parking spots. Very pleasant and friendly staff who were attentive to our experience. Very nice selection of medium spice vegetarian and chicken dishes. Had two appetizers, one cauliflower based and one potato based which were very tasty. Had chicken Marsala and lentil curry. A few orders of garlic naan, which was light and crispy, to round out the meal. Price was $62 for two people and there is enough leftover for another meal. Great experience and recommend.
